Polokwane – Four people died and five others were injured in a head-on collusion on the R71 in Polokwane on Monday, paramedics said.
ER24 said that two vehicles collided head-on on the R71 on Tzaneen road and the Veekraal off ramp at around 5.20pm.
"ER24 paramedics managed to stabilise a man believed to be in his late 20's. The man sustained a serious head injury and was transported to the Mangkweng Provincial hospital to receive medical treatment," ER24 said in a statement.
"One of the patients transported by ER24 was a women believed to be in her 30 years who sustained pelvic fractures. Three other patients were transported to nearby hospitals by other emergency services."
