The #FeesMustFall saga returns to Parliament less than a week after a violent confrontation between police and protesting students. Today the National Assembly will debate the issue that has crippled the Higher Education sector across the country where lectures have been cancelled and exams have been postponed.

Last week Friday President Jacob Zuma announced a zero per cent increase to tertiary education fees. Some students remain unsatisfied, saying Zuma failed to address the long term issue of funding for poorer students. They say they want free, quality education and called for Higher Education Minister Blade Nzimande to resign.
