Johannesburg - Police management will examine the performance of the SAPS during a two-day meeting that starts in Boksburg on Friday.

“This two-day meeting will examine and audit our all-round performance of the SAPS,” the police ministry said in a statement.

Police Minister Nathi Mthethwa, his deputy Makhotso Sotyu and the national police commissioner, Riah Phiyega, were expected to attend.

Crime-fighting strategies would also be reviewed.

“We will pay attention to issues such as strengthening command and control, partnerships with communities, allocation of resources, training and many other operational frameworks.” - Sapa
