Bahurutshe chief dies in hit-and-run

Potchefstroom - North West police are questioning a man in connection with a hit-and-run accident on the N4 in Dinokana village in which Kgosi Moiloa of the Bahurutshe Boo-Moiloa died on Friday night.

Police in Lehurutshe are investigating a case of culpable homicide and failing to stop after an accident,” the North West SA Police Service (SAPS) said in a statement on Saturday.

“According to the information available at this stage the driver failed to stop after the incident. At this stage the police cannot confirm what led to the incident. However, the police are questioning a 24-year-old man regarding the matter.”

Maj-Gen Jacob Tsumane, on behalf of the North West SAPS management and members at large, sent condolences to the family and the Bahurutshe Boo-Moiloa.

“We will ensure that the law takes its course and that justice is done,” Tsumane said.
