Brits The newly appointed mayor of the Madibeng Local Municipality promised to visit Hebron on Wednesday.

"As a new leadership we will visit the community and interact with them," Matshidiso Mangoathe told reporters.

She added that a meeting would be arranged with the ward councillor to see if she required help in addressing issues in the community.

"At the present moment we just need time to go through the memorandum and see how best to respond," she said.

She was speaking to reporters after accepting a memorandum from residents of Hebron near Ga-Rankuwa in Pretoria.

The residents of Hebron are complaining about service delivery in their township and calling for the resignation of their ward councillor. They claim the councillor neither listens to them nor addresses their grievances. -Sapa
