A moving train was set alight, allegedly by commuters between Bellville and Langa stations on the Cape Flats, the SABC reported on Thursday.
“Train 9832... was set alight by two vandals, who were witnessed by a number of commuters. They were seen getting off at Langa station,” Metrorail spokeswoman Zino Mihi said.
“Two train coaches were on fire. Fortunately the fire emergency services responded within minutes and managed to contain the fire,” she said.
