Rustenburg - The judicial commission into the killing of 44 people during wage-related protests at Marikana, North West, will resume its hearings in January 2013.
Chairman of the three-member commission, retired judge Ian Farlam, announced the festive season break on Thursday.
“The commission will resume at 10am on the 21st of January next year. Parties who have deferred their cross-examinations are expected to be ready next year.
“The hearings will be held here, at the Rustenburg Civic Centre, unless you are advised otherwise.”
President Jacob Zuma announced the commission in August. He said the commission's work had to be completed in four months, and a month thereafter it would hand its final report to him. - Sapa
