ONE teenager has been killed and two others wounded after they were ambushed by gunmen.

The boys, all aged between 14 and 17, were walking in an area called Ghost Town in Hanover Park when they were attacked by unknown men just after 9.15pm on Monday.

Police say two of the young victims were wounded while the other was killed.

The same day around 3pm, a man believed to be in his 40s tried to outrun attackers when he ran inside a house and hid in the bathroom, also in Ghost Town.


The gunmen then opened fire on him inside the bathroom.

The wounded man was rushed to hospital.

Police spokesperson Constable Noloviso Rwexana says: “According to reports, three victims between ages 14 and 17, were walking when they were shot by unidentified suspects.

“One victim was fatally wounded while two were injured.

“Cases of murder and attempted murder have been opened for investigation.”
