Cape Town - University of Cape Town Vice-Chancellor Max Price was confronted by students and workers while he was in a meeting on middle campus.

Earlier on Monday, a heavy police presence greeted a group of UCT students and workers at Parliament where they had demanded to speak to President Jacob Zuma and Higher Education Minister Blade Nzimande.

The marchers were protesting against outsourcing and the high cost of university education.

The president is currently out of the country, and the minister was also unavailble to meet with the protesters.
