Stockholm - The Swedish debt collection agency is planning to sell seven paintings believed to have been made by Nazi leader Adolf Hitler, a news report said Monday.

“If the paintings are genuine we estimate that they will sell for about 100 000 kronor (15 000 dollars) each,” Christer Davidsson of the Swedish Enforcement Authority in the southern city of Malmo told the Aftonbladet daily.

The agency said it had no view on how it collects money to settle debts.

Stockholm rabbi David Lazar said it was “symbolically unfortunate that people (can) make money from these artifacts. - Sapa-dpa
