Rome -

A local politician in Italy signed a contract with his secretary stipulating that she would have sex with him once a week, local media reported on Thursday.

In return, 53-year old Luigi De Fanis, alderman for culture in the central region of Abruzzo, paid his 32-year-old aide Lucia Zingariello 3 000 euros a month, on top of her regular salary of 1 200 euros, the La Repubblica newspaper said.

“The alderman was obsessed with me, he forced me to sign it. I could not refuse. I was afraid,” the daily quoted Zigarello as telling prosecutors.

Investigators found out about the arrangement after placing the woman and her boss under house arrest, last month.

They face corruption and embezzlement charges for taking bribes in return for regional grants and using an official car for private trips.

Police found a ripped copy of the sex-for-money contract in the woman's home.

De Fanis, a doctor, is a member of the conservative party of former premier Silvio Berlusconi, who earlier this year was famously convicted for soliciting sex from a minor. - Sapa-dpa
