Two journos arrested in Tehran

IOL  camera nov 30 . Five people were jailed for more than 20 years in Britain earlier this week for pretending to make a Hollywood blockbuster to secure millions of pounds in tax breaks from the government.

Tehran - Two pro-reform journalists were arrested on Wednesday in Tehran, ISNA news agency reported.

Mohammad-Medh Emami-Nasseri and Alireza Aqaei-Rad from the Maqreb newspaper, which means West, were arrested by the Tehran prosecutor'soffice, the daily's publisher told ISNA.

Amir-Moussa Kazemi said that the charges against the two were in connection with a story which the judiciary interpreted as an indirect insult to President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.

Kazemi said there has been no oder to close the newspaper

Pro-reform newspapers in Iran, which arecritical of Ahmadinejad, are under surveillance by the judiciary.
