cape Town - Last week 5fm jock Gareth Cliff joined the many celebrities around the world who’ve had their Twitter accounts hacked by a diet product.

His almost 400 000 followers got a tweet from Cliff with a link and words to the effect of “best fat loss product”.

Predictably, not long afterwards, the real Cliff tweeted: “Seems some weight loss bull**** was posted on my Twitter timeline. The only diet that works is: Eat less, run more!”

The link pretends to be a news website, but is designed to promote an acai berry “miracle diet” marketed as “Power Slim”.

If you clicked on that link it’s probably a good idea for you to change your Twitter password. - Cape Town
