Kingstone - The World Bank and the Caribbean's biggest university say a new partnership will try to encourage the regional development of mobile app entrepreneurs.

The World Bank says the Caribbean Mobile Innovation Program will provide training and mentorships to aspiring developers from across the Caribbean.

The initiative was launched on Tuesday at Jamaica's campus of the University of the West Indies. Six Caribbean countries will participate.
