Proteas to bat first in final ODI

Durban - South Africa won the toss and chose to bat in the third One Day International (ODI) against New Zealand at Kingsmead, in Durban, on Wednesday.

South African made two changes to the team that were comprehensively beaten by eight wickets in the second ODI in Potchefstroom on Sunday. Spinner Aaron Phangiso makes way for seamer Kagiso Rabada, while Kyle Abbott comes in for Vernon Philander who was struggling with a viral infection.

New Zealand, meanwhile, made no changes to their winning combination. Coming into the deciding match, the series was locked at 1-1.

South African team:

Hashim Amla, Morne van Wyl (wk), AB de Villiers, Rilee Rossouw, David Miller, Farhaan Behardien, David Wiese, Dale Steyn, Kyle Abbott, Kagiso Rabada, Imran Tahir.
