London - Sri Lanka has been set 390 to win the first cricket test on the last day at Lord's after England declared its second innings on its overnight score of 267-8.

Cloudy conditions will encourage England's bowlers, whose four-man pace attack will also be heartened by Sri Lanka's Shaminda Eranga taking second-innings figures of 3-63. Rangana Herath managed to turn the ball to take 4-95, and England will hope Moeen Ali can enjoy similar success.

If Sri Lanka reaches its target, it will achieve the highest successful run chase at Lord's, 344 by the West Indies in 1984.
