Johannesburg - England brushed aside Zimbabwe with a 129 run win in Chittagong to top Group C in their third successive win at the ICC Under-19 World Cup in Bangladesh on Sunday.

England will now wait for the second-placed team from Group B in the quarter-final on Sunday in Mirpur.

England, who had scored 37/3 against Fiji in the first match, once again showed its batting prowess to pile up 28/4 after electing to bat against Zimbabwe.

Durham’s Jack Burnham hit an unbeaten 106, his second hundred in three matches, opener Dan Lawrence made 59 and Max Holden hit 51.

Zimbabwe were dismissed for 159 despite a heroic 91 from Jeremy Ives as Saqib Mahmood claimed 4/39 and Callum Taylor took 3/14.

“We can only go up from here, hopefully there are more wins to come,” said Burnham, whose 104-ball knock contained six sixes and five boundaries.
