Durban – Keegan Daniel, who has 199 caps for the Sharks, is bound to make his double century soon in Super Rugby with the news on Monday he is making a return to the franchise after two seasons with Kubota Spears in Japan.
Of the 199 caps, 59 were as captain with Daniel also leading the team to Absa Currie Cup glory in 2013. The 30-year-old has also got five Springbok caps
Daniel has always been a fierce competitor and he will bring strong leadership and experience to the team environment, which will greatly benefit the youngsters in the Sharks squad.
Commenting on his signing, The Sharks Director of Rugby Gary Gold said: “Keegan’s record at the Sharks speaks volumes about the impact he had at this franchise as well as the calibre of player he is. We look forward to welcoming him home.”
