Cape Town - The South African Football Association on Tuesday announced the sacking of Bafana Bafana coach Pitso Mosimane.

Assistant coach Steve Komphela will take charge of Bafana’s matches against Botswana and Gabon before a long-term decision is made.

“Drawing in the last fifteen minutes of the game (against Ethiopia) made us realise we had to act now,” Safa said in a brief statement when the decision was announced.

Further details will be provided by Safa on Tuesday morning. - IOL
