Arsenal have been quoted £15million for Asmir Begovic after opening talks over the Stoke goalkeeper.
Arsene Wenger wants to sign a new first-choice keeper this summer and has compiled a list which includes Petr Cech, Pepe Reina and Victor Valdes.
Arsenal enquired about Begovic in January but Stoke did not want to sell the 25-year-old Bosnian.
With Jack Butland arriving from Birmingham in the summer, Stoke are more open to parting with their talented shot-stopper.
Manchester United and Chelsea were also interested in Begovic but United have been put off by Stoke’s asking price.
Chelsea want him as competition for Cech but Begovic is willing to move only as a first-choice keeper. – Daily Mail
