Arsenal fans sang manager Arsene Wenger's name after they took another step towards the Premier League's top four.
They are only two points behind Chelsea after a 4-0 win at Wigan, with the dismal start that saw them pick up only seven points from their first seven games now a distant memory.
Defeats such as the 8-2 loss against Manchester United in August provoked some fans into calling for Wenger's head.
But on Saturday, Mikel Arteta and Thomas Vermaelen struck within a minute of each other and the win was wrapped up by Gervinho and Robin van Persie in the second-half.
As supporters chanted his name Wenger accepts both reactions are part and parcel of the job.
“Our job is to keep your focus and do as well as you can do and take all the good and the bad,” said Wenger.
“I just try to give my best for my club. When people are not happy then I am not happy as well, but it's part of the job.” – Belfast Telegraph
