Cape Town - It hasn’t been the best of times for football in Cape Town - but good news for the Mother City’s frustrated fans is that there is more than a good chance that both Liverpool and Everton could be winging their way to these shores at the end of the season.
The City of Cape Town is in negotiation with the two Merseyside clubs.
Officials admit it won’t be cheap to bring the popular English teams to Cape Town, which is why they are making sure they get a good return on their money.
They want the clubs to bring their top players as well as getting involved in social responsibility initiatives.
A decision is expected at the end of this month.
