Johannesburg – Chippa United Football Club has placed coach Roger Sikhakhane on special leave as of December 7, amid allegations of misconduct at the Nelson Mandela Commemoration Cup match which took place on December 6 in Mthatha.

The coach has been granted up until Friday, December 11, to respond to the allegations levelled against him.

Assistant coach, Dan Malesela will step in as head coach in the interim, assisted by Head of Development & Multi Choice Diski Head Coach Floyd Mogale in preparation for the upcoming Premiership encounter against Bloemfontein Celtic on December 18.

Chippa United fans are urged to come to the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium that day to support their team. Gates open at 5pm and the kick-off is at 8pm.
