Pretoria – Lerato Lamola scored a brace to help Bloemfontein Celtic to a come from behind 2-1 Premiership victory over the University of Pretoria in Pretoria on Wednesday night.

Lamola netted his second and third league goals of the season, to guide Phunya Sele Sele to their third win of the season, leaving Tuks winless at home from their four games on home soil.

With the game still in its infancy, Thabo Mnyamane danced his way through a flat-footed Celtic defence, before cooly curling home with his left foot to hand AmaTuks their first home goal of the season.

Despite Tuks' best efforts, however, the visitors soon found their way through the AmaTuks defence, allowing Lamola to scramble the ball over the goal-line to take Celtic level after 36 minutes.

On equal terms after the opening 45, the two teams traded blows after the hour mark as first Geofrey Massa had a headed effort cleared off the line, before Lyle Lakay was denied by goalkeeper Washington Arubi.

Lakay looked lively after coming on in the second half and asked questions of the Tuks defence with his pinpoint accurate set-piece deliveries.

Tuks had to work hard for their chances. Mnyamane was unlucky not to score his second of the night when he hit the upright minutes from the end.

But Celtic broke Tuks' hearts two minutes from time as Lamola bagged his second of the night, thanks to a well-taken finish from dead in front. – Sapa
