Paris - Mamelodi Sundowns under-17 were crowned the China Gothia Cup Champions courtesy of a brilliant run in the tournament in China where they scored a mammoth 20 goals in six games, conceding only four.

Sundowns beat English side Kinetic Academy for the second time in the tournament when they put two past them to win the final of the tournament 2-0 over the weekend.

The Young Brazilians were unbeaten in the tournament, only dropping points in a 2-2 draw against BK Hacken.

They went into the final as favourites as they had beaten Kinetic in the round robin, and did not disappoint as they took the game to the English side.

Sundowns qualified for participation in the tournament by winning the South African version of the Future Champions tournament.
