Johannesburg - Chaos erupted when EFF members clad in party regalia were told to wait outside or remove their party gear ahead of Karabo Mokoena's alleged killer's first court appearance at the Johannesburg Magistrate's court this morning.
This was after the court ruled that no one sporting party gear was allowed inside the courtroom. People were told to either remove their party gear or step outside.
However, the EFF members loudly objected to this ruling, causing a commotion and forcing a temporary adjournment.
Earlier, the court ruled that media houses were allowed to take pictures of the suspect but only for Friday's proceedings.
Media houses would have to file another application to take images at further appearances.
This is the suspect's first appearance following his arrest for the murder of Karabo Mokoena.
The suspect allegedly confessed to killing and burning her body, an allegation the police are yet to confirm.
He faces murder charges and is yet to plead.
