Adele is transforming her new house in to an “eco-friendly” home.

The ‘Someone Like You’ hitmaker – who was recently unveiled as Britain’s richest young musician with an estimated wealth of £20million – is having her beachside Brighton pad converted to be powered by solar panels.

A source told The Sun newspaper: “Adele’s house is something to behold. She’s having loads of work done at the moment so she won’t move in for a while.

“But when she does, she’ll have one of the most eco-friendly houses in the area.”

The 23-year-old singer is expected to move into the £2million home with boyfriend Simon Konecki – although their dream view of the sea has already been threatened by a neighbour’s planning application to build a swimming pool that would overlook them.

A property insider said: “This would be a nightmare for Adele. It may be she didn’t even know about it but I wouldn’t want to pay £2million then see a neighbour’s pool built outside my window.

“The big factor in these properties is the uninterrupted 180-degree view owners have from the rear. I’d imagine she’s pretty annoyed.” - Bang Showbiz
