Los Angeles -

Singer Justin Bieber could face charges that he violated probation after police responded six times to complaints at his Beverly Hills condo over the weekend, according to media reports on Monday.

Police received four noise complaints and two fan misconduct complaints at the home during an alleged party, the Los Angeles Times reported.

Although no citations have been filed, law enforcement officials said that if police moved to do so, the matter would be forwarded to the Los Angeles County Probation Department, TMZ reported, citing the officials.

That could lead to a probation violation charges and possible jail time, TMZ reported.

The Canadian singer was placed on formal probation for two years after pleading no contest to one count of misdemeanor vandalism for egging his neighbour's house.

Bieber was accused of throwing eggs at his neighbour's home in his gated community in Calabasas, California, on January 9, causing an estimated $20 000 in damages.

The pop star was ordered to complete five days of community service and an anger management programme, and he must pay $80 900 in restitution under the terms of the negotiated settlement, the statement said.

The 20-year-old is next scheduled for a court appearance in Miami, Florida, to face charges of resisting arrest, drunk driving and other traffic charges. - Sapa-dpa
