Actress Heather Locklear was rushed to hospital yesterday after she took a dangerous combination of alcohol and prescription drugs. According to the Daily Mail, the blonde bombshell’s sister called 911 to report a “medical emergency”.
Paramedics on the scene examined the former Dynasty star and decided that she needed to be hospitalised.
According to People magazine, Locklear’s parents described her condition as “medically stable”.
“She is in no danger and she's going to be just fine,” said Bill and Diane Locklear in a statement.
Yesterday’s incident isn’t Locklear’s first brush with death.
In 2008, her doctor made a 911 call, claiming that the star had tried to “commit suicide”. Locklear was rushed to hospital, but the suicide claim was later downplayed.
In June of that year, she checked into a medical facility to seek treatment for anxiety and depression.
Three months later, she was arrested for driving under the influence of prescription drugs. The star was apparently so intoxicated that police had to help her out of her car. - IOL
