Critics have dismissed her marriage to Kris Humphries as a sham, while the reality star is trying hard to convince her fans that she wanted their union to work. However, amid all the speculation as to why divorce has come so soon – irreconcilable differences, said Kim in her divorce papers – one rumour just won’t go away.
According to sources close to Kim, she is still deeply in love with former boyfriend and NFL star Reggie Bush.
“Kim was never in love with Kris. Kris certainly wasn’t in love with Kim. There was a lot of affection between the two, but it wasn’t love. Kim was still in love with Reggie Bush, make no mistake about that. Kim’s relationship with Kris just didn’t have that intensity or that deep feeling of love, period,” an insider told RadarOnline.com.
While rumour has it that the muscular American football star feels the same way about Kim, a source close to Reggie has ruled out any possibility of a reconciliation.
“Everyone thinks that Reggie and Kim broke up because he couldn’t commit,” the source told HollywoodLife.com. “But really she broke his heart. It came down to trust and he just couldn’t trust Kim. Reggie can never move past their trust issues so he’ll never take her back.”
Apparently, Reggie and Kim split up because of Kim’s reality TV career. According to sources close to the couple at the time, Reggie wasn’t ready for all the media attention and the constant spotlight on their relationship. Kim, however, is clearly still enamoured with Reggie. Last year, despite their differences, she made a dramatic appearance at the Super Bowl final, running onto the field to plant a big kiss on Reggie after his victory. - IOL
