SHOWTIME Promotions is set to bring their latest entertainment extravaganza here when Mika Singh and the Zee Stars hit the local stage.
Singh (pictured), who is on his world tour, has performed to sold-out venues, receiving rave reviews.
He will be accompanied on stage by his musicians from India, and is billed for a two-concert tour – including a stop in Durban.
The added attraction to the concert will be The Zee TV Stars. The heart-throb of many women is Karnvir Bohra (known as Aahil from the series Qubool Hai), Karan Mehra (known as Naren from the series Pavitra Rishta) and Mahima Makwana (known as Rachna from the series Sapne Suhane).
The concerts will take place on Saturday at the ICC Arena in Durban at 7.30pm and at Emperors Palace on Sunday at 5pm.
Amrik Singh, aka Mika Singh, was born and raised in Patna, Bihar, along with his brother Daler Mehndi. Mika is a singer, composer, performer and songwriter.
Among a wide catalogue of songs, the prominent chart busters that his fans can look forward to are Party Tho Banti Hai (Bhoothnath 2), Tu Mere Agal Bagal (Phata Poster), Dhinka Chika (Readyy), Dhanno (Housefull), Subha Hone Na De (Desi Boys), Chinta Ta (Rowdy Rathore) and many more!
Now, with Indian soapies being somewhat of a phenomenon in South Africa – the most popular Channel being Zee TV –fans can brace themselves for a feast with their favourite stars.
The handsome Karan (Naren) is an Indian TV actor who also bagged an important role in Ekta Kapoor’s movie Ragini MMS 2. He played a TV actor along with Sunny Leone.
He said: “Initially I thought it is a normal make-out scene, but later I got to know it is a proper shower sequence where I had to kiss Sunny. It was my first on-screen kiss and I was very nervous. But all thanks to Sunny, she made it very simple for me.”
Recently, he was seen in the daily soap Pavitra Rishta on Zee TV. Karan played the male lead as Naren opposite Ankita Lokhande.
Karanvir (Aahil) is an Indian film and TV actor, well known as Prem in Kasautii Zindagii. He is one of the best dressed men in the television world and flaunts his style and attitude with great ease. Karanvir is presently signed on Zee TV’s popular serial Qubool Hai and plays the lead character, Aahil Raza Ibrahim.
Mahima (Rachna) is a growing Indian TV actress. She is best known for her role of Rachna in Zee TV’s show Sapne Suhane Ladakpan Ke. She also has done shows like Jhansi Ki Rani, Balika Vadhu and C.I.D. Mahima has gained popularity at a very young age through her portrayal of Rachna. She manages well between her shoots and her studies. It’s not an easy job… she studies on the set and takes notes over the phone.
