INDIAN star Sonu Nigam (pictured) will perform in Durban as part of BollyBoom during the World Jam Music Festival.

He told Bollyworld it’s something he’s looking forward to.

“This is a one-of-a kind performance in South Africa, something I have (only done) three places in India. This probably is a stepping stone to the performances and music of the future where popular music is revamped with EDM complemented with state-of-the-art production and, of course, live singing contrary to lip synching like most Western performers do. South African audiences are an eclectic mix of the glory of the old and the fury of today. They are also aware my efforts are aimed at treating them with something new. Next after this, on my agenda, is a symphony concert. It’ll be a beautiful contrast to something as high- energy and futuristic as my December 7 performance,” says Nigam. – Bollyworld Reporter
