THIS weekend will be one huge noise fest when Bloodline reunite and invite ultra hard-core rapper, Skamdust (pictured), to perform. This Puerto Rican-born, New York-raised rapper would put Nicki Minaj and Rick Ross in early graves if they even knew of his existence.

The gig, titled The SA Hardcore Tattoos Party, will take place at Town Hall in Newtown, Joburg, on Friday and at The Winston in Durban on Saturday. The line-up includes Fuzigish, Reason to Live, Bloodline and Skamdust.

The shows are organised by tattoo artist and Bloodline guitarist, Pepi Dimevski. The event is sponsored by Monster Energy Drink.

Dimevski says he connected with Skamdust via Instagram.

“Skamdust has worked on a lot of projects with bands that I like. When I posted on Instagram he immediately followed me and it was cool because he is one of my heroes. He then asked me to take his cousin around Jozi when she came over. She had such a good time and he appreciated that I was good to his cousin. He agreed to come over for a few shows.”

Dimevski’s tattoo parlour in Parkhurst had a meet-and-greet with Skamdust on Sunday and they are now preparing for the concerts.

“We have had a big response,” says Dimevski. “I mean, we have Fuzigish on the line-up. Let’s just start there.

“Add to this the angry sounds of Bloodline, and it’s game on. Bloodline have reunited and are planning a new album to be released at the end of the year. They recently played The Winston in Durban and had the crowd baying for more blood.

“In terms of our new material, Bloodine have stuck to the same style. The album is gonna be hard new music. We are also booked to play a hard-core festival in May in New York and are also planning a small European tour.”

Skamdust will record a song with Bloodline while here and shoot a video.

• Tickets (R100) will be available at the doors which will open at 8pm.
