BELHAR is under siege by zombies and hordes of the undead.

Fortunately though, sexy actress Milla Jovovich is here to save the day.

Milla is hanging out in Belhar to shoot Resident Evil 6: The Final Chapter.

She once again plays the role of heroic Alice kicking zombie butt on the big screen.

Parts of the action-packed movie are being filmed in the middle of a veld just off Symphony Way.

On Monday, Milla posted a picture on Instagram of the movie set in Belhar and said: “Almost finished with the film, but some of the best sets have been saved for last!

“Here’s one in Belhar, South Africa where we’re shooting an epic action sequence!#residentevilthefinalchapter #capetowndiary.”

But many of the residents say they didn’t even know it was Resident Evil 6 being filmed so close to their homes.

The Daily Voice, however, bumped into some excited youngsters who had caught a glimpse of Hollywood in action.

Waylen Horleer, 15, from Belhar, and his friends say they were all excited to see a helicopter landing near their homes recently.

“Everyone was talking about it, so I went to have a look,” says Waylen.

Andylee Valentine, 14, also from Belhar says he also saw the helicopter and just had to go and check it out.

“When I saw the helicopter in the sky,I went to see what was going on,” says Andylee.

Stuart Meyers, 20, says he knows some people who got work on the movie set and are getting paid good money.

“They’re the security - and others are picking up papers and cleaning (the set),” says Stuart.

Resident Marlin Kleinbooi, 29, says he got a pamphlet telling him that a movie was being filmed behind his home.

Marlin says: “Sometimes I will hear them in the afternoons but I work night shift so I cannot tell you if they are busy and noisy at night.”

Residents say they will watch the movie when it’s released in 2017 to see if they recognise their neighbourhood in any scenes.

But for some it was too real.

Shanice Wessels, 36, says she was startled when she spotted some actors in full make-up.

Shanice says: “I was in the taxi, just before the Pentec campus gates, when people started shouting and pointing at the zombie-bergies (zombie-hobos) in the bushes. I got such a fright.

“I think I am watching too many horror (films) because for a second I actually believed it was real.”
