London - Prince George's new nanny is a Spaniard who will accompany his parents, William and Kate, the duke and duchess of Cambridge, on their tour of Australia and New Zealand next month, the British royals revealed on Thursday.

Maria Teresa Turrion Borrallo trained at the prestigious Norland College in Bath, which has been turning out nannies for the rich and famous since 1892.

She began working for the Cambridges several weeks ago.

William and Kate are “happy and delighted” with their new, full-time member of staff, a spokesman for the couple said.

Referring to their upcoming trip, he added, “When they're out and about she will be looking after Prince George as she's been doing for the last couple of weeks.”
