'30 Rock' has been recomissioned for a final season.

The NBC comedy show – which was created by Tina Fey and stars Alec Baldwin and Tracy Morgan – has reportedly been renewed for another 13 episodes, which looks set to be its seventh and final series.

An NBC spokeswoman is quoted by Newsday.com as saying: “'30 Rock' has been picked up for its final season.”

There is no confirmation as to when the remaining 13 episodes will air, with the network expected to name its primetime schedule for next season to advertisers on Monday (14.05.12).

NBC has also renewed a fourth season of comedy-drama series 'Parenthood', which was created by Ron Howard and stars Peter Krause and Dax Shepard.

The news comes after Alec – who plays television executive Jack Donaghyin in '30 Rock' - recently hinted he was set to leave the NBC comedy.

The 54-year-old actor hit out at the network last month after 'The Today Show' sent a news crew to his house following the arrest of a French-Canadian woman on charges of stalking him, so he said he was leaving the network “just in time”.

He previously wrote on twitter: “Outside my apt today, along side the other stalkers from the tabloid press, a crew that identified themselves as being with the Today Show. The television crew camped outside my apt said they were with the Today Show. #howthemightyhavefallen. I haven't appeared on the Today Show in many years. But did they have to camp outside my apt?

“A story about stalking sure brings out the stalkers in the media. But, the Today Show? No one from NBC contacted me until the Today Show arrived at my apt. I think I'm leaving NBC just in time (sic).” - Bang Showbiz
