For their latest insane adventure, John Lovejoy and Tony Perez recruit four team members for a journey from Germany to South Africa in the cheapest junk cars they can find. The trip quickly descends into chaos. Driving a Renault at 120km/h in third gear is a sure way to blow an engine, as Susan quickly discovers. Battling to even exit Europe, the team fall out and argue constantly. Once in Africa their problems multiply. After suffering robberies and arrests the atmosphere in the team is hostile and as the roads continue to deteriorate so does any hope of reaching South Africa. Never was a trek so aptly named.
