Grumpy and short-tempered, what Vera lacks in charm she makes up for in wisdom. In the fifth series, Joe’s promotion means there is a new member on the team. DS Aiden Healy will have to get used to Vera’s dry wit as they investigate a body found at a caravan park. The performances and high production values have earned Vera a reputation for classic crime drama.
