Starring stand-up comedian, the late Bernie Mac, this series is loosely based on his stand-up routines. Mac and Kellita Smith star as a married couple who take in his sister’s three children when she enters rehab. Much of the comedy arises from how he adjusts to parenthood: his bristly tough-love tactics are a laugh-a-minute treat to watch. Mac died in 2008 due to complications arising from pneumonia, but his comedy legacy lives on in this classic sitcom.
