TO NDR Platform.jpg Platform Jazz, a Dixieland band, are back on stage this week at the Rhumbelow Theatre.

PUMPKIN THEATRE: Catch the show-stopping Girls On Film. Experience memories from hits such as Chicago, Rock of Ages, Grease, Fame, Coyote Ugly, Mamma Mia, Wizard of Oz, Pretty Woman, Cats, Burlesque, The Phantom of the Opera and The Rocky Horror Picture Show, to name a few. Stars Lizaan Vermeulen, Danielle Fisher and Joanne Fisher Steyn, with dancing showgirls; Cathy Barry and Kaylee Aitken; and Paul Cassells Danny Fisher on vocals. THE RHUMBELOW THEATRE: Platform Jazz, a Dixieland jazz band, with singer Shelley McLean, perform from January 18 to 27. The band promises a varied programme with favourites such as Honeysuckle Rose, Tiger Rag, I’ve Got You under My skin, In the Mood, Pennsylvania 6500, Take 5, Almost Like being in Love, L.O.V.E and Hey Big Spender. The musos include Cathy “Hotlips” Peacock on trumpet, Ian “lightning fingers” Holloway on clarinet, Dunc “the Hunk” Wooldridge on trombone, Jono Judge on sax, Melvin “The Keys” Peters on keyboard, “Bashful” Bruce Baker on drums and Andreas “Bullfiddel” Kappen on double Bass.
