London - Having rented a £25-million (about R425-million) home while he performed in London, Justin Bieber is clearly keen not to rough it on the northern leg of his UK tour.

The 22-year-old pop singer has rented a £17 000-a-month rural retreat for his gigs in Manchester and Sheffield.

And he might need a hideaway after stomping off stage in Manchester at the weekend when fans refused to stop screaming between songs.

The futuristic £4.75-million property has a helipad, five-a-side football pitch, indoor pool and gym. There is a sports bar – with three TV screens – that overlooks an open hall used for indoor games, including table football.

The seven-bedroom home also has a wine cellar and outdoor adventure area with a zip-wire, playground and tree house. It is owned by a tycoon who put the property on the market in 2014 but has been unable to sell it.

Bieber is renting the home for the latest leg of his world tour, which saw the Canadian play three nights in Manchester last week and Birmingham on Monday night.

He previously rented a 15-bedroom, £108 333-a-month mansion in London while playing the O2 Arena.

Dozens of his notoriously obsessive fans, known as ‘Beliebers’, gathered outside hoping for a glimpse of their idol.
