Never give a twitch

You’ve been dealt a bad poker hand? Well, as every player knows, it pays to keep a stiff upper lip – and the rest of the face. But that’s not always possible: some players unwittingly give off signals, such as raised eyebrows, indicating whether they are in or out of luck.

For New York poker addicts at least, that worry is over. A doctor is offering them “Pokertox”, a mixture of Botox and face filler, to help them hide their emotions.

But the innovation has hardly hit the jackpot: one week later there are still no takers.

Maybe some wives and girlfriends have failed to conceal their reaction.
