Due to the postal strike in our area, I have not received my electricity bill timeously, and have had to resort to calling to request an account by e-mail.
I called on Thursday around 7.15am, and, after about five minutes, my call was answered “unintentionally”.
I say this because all I heard for the next seven minutes or so was a group of women engaged in a casual discussion, with much cackling and laughter. Shoprite Checkers seemed to the main focus of the discussion.
Eventually an agent came on line and dealt with my request, quite promptly I must add.
