THE Cape Town and Durban legs of Usher’s concerts have been cancelled, but the popular American singer, songwriter, producer, dancer and actor will still perform in Soweto. It will take place at Orlando Stadium on March 10, in an event billed as the Hansa Festival of Legends Concert.

According to organisers, the Durban and Cape Town legs had to be cancelled because of “unavoidable scheduling and logistical challenges”, which meant he was unable to be in SA for too long.

Tickets for the Soweto concert, which is expected to draw about 35 000 fans, are already on sale for between R215 and R455.

Also, the Hansa Pilsener Festival of Legends talent search competition has reached the semi-finals, and is to be held in three different provinces, starting from Friday. The judges have already auditioned every submission and have chosen 60 artists, from whom six will be the opening acts for Usher.
