CAPE TOWN - The Blackberry Motion was revealed at the GITEX Tech Week along with some of the specifications.

The physical keyboard always featured on most blackberry devices is out, and that seems to be about the only change from the Blackberry KEYone.

The device has a Snapdragon 625 chipset, 4GB of RAM and 32GB of storage.  It also comes with a 12MP back camera.

While the keyboard is gone the handset does still have a fingerprint sensor. The battery is massive at 4 000mAh and considering the lower energy demands of the Snapdragon 625 we expect this handset to last even longer than the KEYone’s did.

As for software Engadget reports that the Motion will run a customised version of Android 7.1 much like the KEYone. Users will also be getting the same security conscious software that they got with the KEYone.

The Motion will initially be available in some Middle Eastern countries for around $460 (R6 315). There has been no word on when it will be available in South Africa.
