Johannesburg - Shares of AngloGold Ashanti, Africa's top gold producer, rise more than 3 percent after it reports a rise in first-quarter earnings as it cut costs and took advantage of a higher bullion price.
Its shares are up 3.53 percent to 182.15 rand, making it the biggest gainer on the benchmark Top-40 index. - Reuters
