PRETORIA – Safari Investments RSA, the listed property company focused largely on township retail property, reports that the R384 million Nkomo Village Centre it was developing in Atteridgeville in Pretoria was already more than 90 percent let and it was expected to be completed within the next 50 days.
The almost 24 800m² centre, the third retail centre it has developed in Atteridgeville, is scheduled to open on November 22.
It said the centre would be anchored by Pick n Pay and Boxer Superstore, and other key national tenants included Food Lover’s Market, The Gym Company, Builders Warehouse Superstore, Clicks, Jumbo Clothing, McDonalds and Chicken Licken.
The centre is located on a site on the northern side of Atteridgeville, with easy access to the R104 (Dr WF Nkomo Street) and the old Pretoria/Hartbeespoort highway.
Safari’s property portfolio comprises 19 properties. Six of these centres were established retail centres, of which four served as regional centres in their areas.
The Soweto Day Hospital, which has been operational since January 2016, also forms part of the Safari property portfolio.
