Ian Farlam to lead Marikana commission

Retired Supreme Court of Appeal judge Ian Farlam has been appointed to chair the judicial commission of inquiry into the violence at Lonmin’s Marikana mine, President Jacob Zuma announced in Pretoria on Thursday.

Two other commissioners, advocate Bantubonke Tokota and advocate Pinglar Hemra, would assist Farlam.

The commission should conclude its work within four months. - Sapa
