Health Minister Dr Aaron Motsoaledi has appointed Craig Burton-Durham (pictured above) as the Acting Registrar of Medical Schemes following the resignation of the previous acting registrar, Patrick Matshidze.

Burton-Durham has been the head of legal services at the Council for Medical Schemes (CMS) since its inception in 2000 and has previously served as the acting registrar. A statement from the council says he will serve as acting registrar and chief executive of the CMS until a permanent registrar is appointed.
