JOHANNESBURG - Businessperson Babalwa Ngonyama has been appointed as chairperson of the audit and risk committee at JSE-listed Aspen Pharmacare, effective January 1, 2018.
Ngonyama, 43, is the chief executive of Sinayo Securities, specialising in listed companies' equity sales and trading. She served as an audit partner of Deloitte’s financial institutions services team from June 2003 to July 2007, and her clients included the National Treasury, private equity companies and stockbrokers, as well as divisions of two of the country’s Big Four banks.
Ngonyama, who is a chartered accountant, was chosen by The Star newspapers as one of the “Twenty Top Women to Watch” in 2005. She holds an MBA from Bond University
